Daniel Tosh is a vulgar comedian. If you know who he is, you know this. That being said, I don’t understand why anyone would pay to see him do stand-up and expect anything less.
Yes, rape is a serious issue, but I can’t stand when people take it upon themselves to pick and choose which subjects are politically correct enough to joke about. If Tosh can’t make rape jokes, he shouldn’t make racial jokes, or gay jokes, or Jewish jokes. The list could go on forever.
Tosh’s brand of comedy is shocking. It’s inappropriate and offensive to a number of people. To those people I say, don’t listen to his comedy. I would also suggest that they have an orgasm every once in a while, or they should maybe just pull that stick out of their asses.
Too many people worry about what everyone else is doing instead of just relaxing and having a laugh every now and then. If Tosh was going around raping people, I would take issue with it. However, he’s not doing that, so I’m going to continue to laugh at his jokes.
I saw Daniel Tosh do stand-up once, and I laughed the entire time. At one point a girl in the audience yelled for him to take his shirt off. His reply? “It’s good to know that the University of Florida accepts whores.” I couldn’t breathe I was laughing so hard.
If you want to complain about Tosh, fine. That’s what the internet is for. As for me, I think he’s hilarious. I love that his jokes push the envelope, and I wouldn’t have it any other way.
I recognize that there are going to be people who disagree with me on this subject. You know what, though? I don’t care. My humor is dry and inappropriate. Sometimes I go to that place that people describe as “too far.” But again, I don’t care. I am who I am, and I’ll laugh at what I want to laugh at.
